ARCHITECTURAL WORKING DRAWINGS WITH AUTOCAD

The courses are taught every February, May, August and November

DESCRIPTION:
This is a hands-on course using AutoCAD, Release 2002 for Windows. AutoCAD is the dominant Computer-Aided Design and Drafting program in the world. The course will utilize lectures, hands-on demonstrations and lab exercises to familiarize participants with the AutoCAD commands and menuing systems. The course covers commands relevant to two-dimensional drafting techniques and especially the provess involved in developing a set of architectural working drawings. At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to begin productive applications of AutoCAD for 2D construction documentation projects and will be qualified to enroll in the Advanced AutoCAD 3D courses.

CLASS OBJECTIVES:
An introductory to medium- level course for professional designers, architects and others seeking job transition and professional advancement through acquiring computer design skills. By the conclusion of this class, participants will be able to apply AutoCAD for 2D construction documentation projects and will be qualified to enroll in the three-dimensional (3D) AutoCAD classes.
